Helpful hints

I haven't been winter camping since I was in Boy Scouts. Does anyone have good tips for this chilly activity?

One word, Layers!!! Haha I have never gone winter camping, but I can assume that since I work outside and know how cold that can be, layering your clothing can be a great thing!

I wear a T-shirt, then long sleeve shirt. A thick sweater, and then a zip-up sweater over that and a thin spring jacket to cut the wind, and an insulated "lumber-jack-style" coat over that. I also wear insulated jeans with a pair of either "Long John's" or warm pajama/sweat pants.

Layering is great because if you get too warm, you just take a layer off until you get comfortable :)

Yeah I have a suggestion! Don't go outside in the frigid temps! Stay inside next to the fireplace, have some hot cocoa and think about the ones out in their unheated winter tents! LOL
